EIMCO is Hiring a Maintenance Technician - 3rd Shift Near Farley, IA

Duties and Responsibilities:

  1. Check with Maintenance Manager on job assignment.
  2. Repair and maintain all machines and equipment as directed.
  3. Inform Maintenance Manager and/or Tool Crib Attendant when replacement parts or materials are needed.
  4. Provide general maintenance for company facilities and grounds.
  5. Discuss current maintenance issues, difficulties, or open projects with maintenance technicians from other shifts and/or Maintenance Manager.
  6. Inform Maintenance Manager and shift supervisor/ lead person of any problems or concerns with equipment that may affect the quality of parts produced.
  7. Provide accessible and responsive maintenance services, in accordance with the requests of EIMCo personnel.
  8. Perform and document all required preventive maintenance on facilities, machines and equipment.
  9. Complete accurate daily records (date, times, services performed, parts used) for every job worked on, on Shop Travelers and in the ERP system.
  10. Follow instructions from all EIMCo and equipment documentation, including: Shop Traveler, equipment manuals, and blueprints.
  11. Accept responsibility for the quality of products/services provided and perform all required inspections and equipment checks.
  12. Comply with all 5S procedures and maintain shop and equipment in a clean and orderly manner.
  13. Conduct all tasks and behaviors in a safe manner and comply with all EIMCO Safety Policies, including the Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and Lockout/Tagout requirements, as outlined in the EIMCo Safety Manual.
  14. Maintain all required documentation.
  15. Perform other duties as assigned.

 Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Maintenance experience in CNC manufacturing a plus
  • Experience working in a fast-paced environment
  • Problem-solving skills
  • Must have the ability to multitask on a wide variety of projects

Physical Requirements:

  • Ability to routinely bend and squat
  • Ability to routinely climb stairs, ladders, or platforms
  • Ability to walk and stand for prolonged periods of time
  • Ability to repetitively grasp
  • Ability to regularly lift and/or move up to 10 pounds, frequently lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, and occasionally lift and/or move up to 75 pounds

Education and Experience:

A technical skills background with 2-5 years of industrial maintenance experience.

Formal education or experience may be substituted with training when competency in the position is demonstrated. 

Working Conditions:

This is a safety sensitive position. This work is performed in a manufacturing setting with moderate to high levels of noise due to machinery and equipment processes. This position requires the use of personal protective equipment for safety compliance and may include overtime as deemed necessary by management.
